Shipping and duties
How long will my order take?
Processing is 1–3 business days, then 5–8 business days in transit with YunExpress. Most orders arrive within about two weeks of being placed. Pieces engraved with a name need about 3 extra business days to prepare.
What does shipping cost?
Nothing. Every order ships free, with tracking, to every country we serve. There is no minimum and no handling fee.
Will I be charged import duty or tax?
No. We pay import duties, taxes and customs fees for every country we ship to. The total at checkout is the total you pay, and nothing is collected on delivery. If a carrier ever asks you to pay duty on one of our orders, don't pay it: email us and we will settle it.
Which countries do you ship to?
47 countries across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. The full list is in our Shipping Policy. If yours isn't listed, email us — we can often arrange it.
Do you provide tracking?
Yes, on every order. We ship with YunExpress, and the final leg is delivered by your local postal or courier service under the same tracking number. We email it to you as soon as the package leaves us.
Returns and exchanges
Can I return a piece?
Yes — email us within 30 days of delivery. The piece must be in the condition you received it, not worn beyond trying it on, with its original packaging. Full details in our Refund Policy.
Who pays return shipping?
If you changed your mind, you do. If the piece is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered, we do — send us photos first and we will confirm from those.
My ring doesn't fit. Can I exchange it?
Yes, within 30 days. You pay to send it back; we send the new size out free.
Is anything final sale?
Four things, and each is marked on its own product page above the buy button: pieces engraved with a name, the Nine-Palace Zodiac Amulet (your zodiac animal is gilded for you), the Tibetan Stupa Locket in its consecrated version, and the Wind Horse Locket if you ask us to consecrate and seal it. Everything else returns normally.
The pieces
What are they made of?
S925 sterling silver throughout, hand-carved. Gold accents are traditional 24K fire-gilding, not plating: the gold is bonded into the silver. Stones are natural: garnet, Swiss blue topaz, turquoise, nanhong agate.
Will the gold wear off?
No. Because it is fused into the silver at around 900°C rather than deposited on the surface, there is no boundary for wear to find. See Traditional Fire-Gilding.
Why do the pieces look dark?
The recesses are deliberately oxidised so that the carving reads with depth. Bright silver would flatten the work. This is a finish, not tarnish.
Will my piece look exactly like the photographs?
Very close, but not identical. Every piece is carved and finished by hand, and natural stones vary in colour and pattern. Small differences are the nature of handwork.
Do these pieces have protective or healing powers?
We don't claim that. What we write about a symbol's meaning is cultural and historical context — what these forms have meant to the people who made and wore them. What you bring to it is yours.
Where are they made?
Designed and handmade in China. No piece is made by, or represented as made by, Native American artisans.
Engraving and consecration
Can I have a piece engraved?
The Sun and Moon Necklace has a clean rim made for it, and we engrave it free: a name, a date, two initials. Engraved pieces take about 3 extra business days and are final sale.
What is consecration?
Two of our lockets open. If you ask, we will have the chamber filled and sealed at the monastery we work with — free of charge. See Consecration.
Care
Can I shower or swim in it?
The silver and gold are fine. The stones are not — take pieces off before swimming or bathing, and keep them away from perfume and lotion. Full details in the Care Guide.
What if it needs cleaning years from now?
Send it to us. Cleaning, polishing and a full check of every setting are free for as long as you own the piece — you only pay to ship it to us.
